Publication Ethics
To ensure high ethical and professional standards, based on the principles of transparency and best practice of scientific publications, the editorial board of "Environmental and Radiation Safety" consistently adheres to the publishing principles of the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, developed by the Committee on the Ethics of Scientific Publications (COPE), International Standards for Editors and Authors, as well as the Code of Ethics of a scientist of Ukraine.
Materials are reviewed by members of the publication's editorial board and/or third-party independent experts, based on the principle of objectivity and from the standpoint of the highest international academic quality standards, and are edited.
The editors reserve the right to edit the manuscript stylistically. Corrections that, in the editor's opinion, may change the content of the text must be agreed with the author. Authors are responsible for the reliability of information in articles, the accuracy of names, statistical data, surnames, and citations.
The editors reserve the right to minor literary editing of texts and abbreviations, while preserving the author's style.
Materials accepted for publication are not returned and cannot be published in other journals.
Principles of editorial (publishing) activity
The editorial policy of the scientific journal "Environmental and Radiation Safety" is based on the following transnational principles:
- compliance with the requirements of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and Berlin Declaration Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities;
- objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for their publication;
- high requirements for the quality of scientific research;
- mandatory review of articles;
- collegiality in decision-making regarding the publication of articles;
- accessibility and efficiency in communicating with authors;
- encouragement and maintenance of scientific integrity and integrity;
- strict observance of copyright and related rights.
Interaction with Authors
In cooperation with the Authors, the editorial board of the scientific journal "Environmental and Radiation Safety" is guided by the following rules:
performs all necessary measures to ensure the quality of materials presented and subject to subsequent publication;
ensures compliance with established mechanisms for review of articles, as well as refutation or cancellation of decisions made by the editors;
necessarily informs the Author of the manuscript either about the acceptance of the article for publication, or about the need for its revision, or about the rejection of the article;
provides a reasoned description of the expert evaluation of the article submitted for publication.
Interaction with Reviewers
In interaction with Reviewers, the editors of the scientific journal adhere to the following rules:
- presents the Reviewers with instructions and recommendations for reviewing manuscripts;
- provides Reviewers with a system for checking the degree of originality of the article;
- guarantees confidentiality to Reviewers;
- provides an opportunity (right) to refuse a review without explaining the reasons for refusal (except for the established conflict of interests);
- considers peer review as an integral part of the evaluation of a scientific publication, which confirms the high quality of scientific articles.
Peer-reviewing involves work with those Reviewers - Scientific Journal Experts - who are recognized specialists in the field of knowledge corresponding to the article. For this, the editorial office, in addition to the members of the editorial board, cooperates with a wide range of scientists from different countries of the world.
